The death of my parents lit a strong desire to start taking risks and pursue my dreams before it was too late.
I’ve always had the heart of an entrepreneur. Even when I was young, I wanted to do something with my life, including traveling and living it to the fullest. That hunger led me to enlist in the military, where I spent 4 years stationed all over—Spain, Italy, Yugoslavia—soaking in different cultures. By the time I came back to the U.S., I was a changed man. My vocabulary had shifted, my worldview had expanded, and I was hungry for more.
While going to college, I picked up a part-time job at UPS to make ends meet. What started as a side gig turned into a full-blown career––I delivered packages, then worked my way up to full-time Supervisor. Life was comfortable and predictable—too predictable. That entrepreneurial fire was still in me, demanding an escape from the corporate routine.
That’s when my brother, Kevin, came to me with an idea: start flipping houses. We began laying the groundwork, doing research, and mapping out a plan. However, I was still working full-time at UPS while juggling side hustles. Building a new business from scratch wasn’t easy—it took more time than I had.
Then everything changed when my parents passed away. It was a devastating loss, but it also awoke a realization: for the first time, I didn’t have a safety net; no one to fall back on if things went south. That realization inspired me to take risks while I still could—and that meant leaving a job I knew deep down would never fulfill me.
So after 18 years at UPS, I quit.
I poured all my energy into our business. I was making calls, meeting people, applying for loans, learning the ropes day and night. It was thrilling. I felt alive—like I was finally getting closer to my dream of building my own business.
But let’s be real—building a business comes with its fair share of challenges. For me, it was losing money. The investments weren’t paying off fast enough, and soon I couldn’t afford my mortgage. I was too proud to ask for help, so I stayed quiet, trying to solve everything on my own. Eventually, I lost my home.
I was in my 40s, and for the first time in my life, I’d lost something precious. I came dangerously close to being on the streets. And still, I wasn’t panicked. I don’t know why, but I had this unshakable calm. I knew I would be alright. Even at my lowest, I had peace.
And I was right. I picked up a job as a glassmaker and kept the investment business alive on the side. By 2016, we were in full swing, flipping houses and reselling them for a profit. In 2020, I was able to leave behind my job as a glassmaker and got my real estate license. The transition felt natural. My background in construction and investing gave me an edge, and I fell in love with being a REALTOR®. I still flip homes while helping my clients buy and sell property. It’s the best of both worlds.
These days, I enjoy golfing, catching a good movie, and riding motorcycles and ATVs. I also give back whenever I can—cooking for the homeless through my church and teaching first-time homebuyers and new investors at seminars.
Looking back, I’m proud that I followed my dream even when it was difficult. No matter what you’re facing, everything can be solved if you stay calm, take action, and keep going.
I bring my clients the value of knowledge, a powerful network, and integrity. Because I started as an investor, I’ve gained deep experience with creative financing strategies. I help clients of all financial backgrounds—including those with low budgets, credit challenges, or past bankruptcies—find practical, often unconventional solutions. I also assist homeowners on the verge of foreclosure, working to save their homes.
To support my clients, I partner with a team of specialized attorneys, lenders, and title companies who are experts in navigating complex financial and legal situations. I also have a trusted network of contractors and service providers for any home repair or maintenance need—professionals I’ve vetted over the years who offer quality work at fair prices.
I’m highly respectful of my clients’ budgets and never waste their time showing properties that don’t meet the lender’s criteria. I stay consistently available throughout the process and even after closing. My goal is to ensure a transparent, surprise-free experience and to be a long-term resource for anything real estate-related. My clients’ happiness is my priority.
Sincerely,
Albert Moore
